The Sandpoint Insider is a Web site with articles that feature the "personal side" of Sandpoint, Idaho. It offers a perspective on what it's really like to live here and talks about both the good and the not-so-good aspects of the area. Although we love living in Sandpoint, we know that in summer there will be mosquitoes and in the spring the dirt roads will turn into sucking mud. Whether you've lived in Sandpoint for years, have just arrived, or are dreaming of relocating to this beautiful area, you'll enjoy the viewpoints and photographs that show what it's really like to live in a small town here in the skinny part of Idaho.
The Sandpoint Insider is:
- Written by people who live and work in Sandpoint, Idaho. We aren't "natives" but we are locals. Like a lot of other people here, we lived in other places and escaped, so we understand what makes Sandpoint unique.
- Accessible. If you have questions about the area, use the contact forms at the bottom of every page. We try to answer all questions as quickly and completely as we can.
- Honest. We take pictures even when the weather stinks. (If you believed the brochures, you'd think it never rains here!)
The Sandpoint Insider is NOT:
- Written by committee. We have no political affiliations and don't care where you live now. (You don't have to be afraid to tell us if you live in California.)
- Affiliated with any real estate or development company. Logical Expressions is a publishing company, so we like to write and take photographs. We have no profit motive to "get people to move here."
- Unbiased. The Insider isn't "objective" like a newspaper. You get our opinion; you can feel free to agree or disagree.
Who Publishes the Insider Anyway?
The Sandpoint Insider is written by Susan Daffron and James Byrd, the owners of Logical Expressions, Inc. The Insider is one three of a number of Web sites we own. (If you are interested in pet care, check out our Pet Tails site; if you want free tips on using your computer, check out Logical Tips.)
James and Susan have lived in Sandpoint since 1996. Like a lot of Sandpoint residents, they escaped the freeways and smog of southern California, trading their tiny condo for a (somewhat odd and unfinished) log home deep in the forests north of Sandpoint.
